A new restaurant: your first service

The quick answer

Prepare a reachable kitchen, make a valid dish, take the order, serve the whole group, then clear and wash their plates. Use Practice Mode before committing to a new recipe or layout.

Standard, unmodded Steam PC play. Controls follow your current keyboard or controller prompts.

Set up before opening

Start with a short route between your cooking surface, serving tables, plate supply and sink. Leave customers a path from the entrance to their seats. A reliable small menu is easier to manage than several unfinished production lines.

  1. In preparation, place the appliances and enable the seats you need. Grab picks up and moves items; Interact performs an appliance’s action. Follow the game’s current input prompts.
  2. Check the main recipe and make a test dish. Plate foods that require a plate, and match the requested cooking stage. Burnt food is not a valid substitute.
  3. Start service. Let customers sit and finish thinking, then take their order. Deliver valid food to the correct table and satisfy the whole group.
  4. After customers finish, remove dirty plates, wash them and return them to the plate supply. Clean messes that slow your movement.
  5. At the next preparation phase, buy or store useful blueprints, adjust the layout and account for the new cards before opening again.

Keep the full service loop moving

A fast hob cannot help when all plates are dirty. Uncleared tables prevent the next group from sitting. Watch the queue, ordering and food-waiting patience stages: failing to serve customers in time can close the restaurant.

Use Practice Mode to check a new recipe or arrangement. A working layout lets you deliver the right food, clear the table and reuse its plates. Shorter walking routes and a dependable washing loop are useful starting priorities; no single arrangement here guarantees a Day 15 completion.
